A Pixel Screenshots alternative that works on any phone, offline
Short answer: Google's Pixel Screenshots only runs on Pixel 9 and newer. Since June 2026 it can also process your screenshots in Google's cloud, not just on the phone (Android Authority). Shotbox works on any Android phone, reads your screenshots entirely on the device, and adds boxes, a swipe inbox and duplicate cleanup.
